The NATE-Certification Advantage

March 20, 2018

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning is proud to send NATE-Certified technicians into customers’ homes in North America every day. While this distinction of being Nate-Certified surely sounds reaffirming, what does it truly mean?

NATE, an abbreviation for North American Technician Excellence, is the nation’s largest non-profit certification organization for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration technicians. NATE is the certification organization that was created by and has been accepted by the entire HVACR industry for nearly 20 years. However, not all technicians in the field have to be NATE-Certified. The certification is elective and technicians can service heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment without being NATE-Certified.

It’s important to Service Experts that our team is NATE-Certified to make sure we are putting the most experienced technicians into our customers’ homes. To make sure technicians meet these benchmarks, the NATE-Certification exams validate real-world working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems for technicians. The assessments are knowledge-based exams that test the technician’s understanding of these guidelines.

Due to the fact that Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning focuses largely on the HVAC side of NATE-Certification, our technicians earn their designations in these areas. However, NATE assessment candidates may gain certification in one or more of these areas:

  • Air Conditioning
  • Air Distribution
  • Gas Heating
  • Oil Heating
  • Heat Pumps
  • Hydronic Gas (service only)
  • Hydronics Oil (service only)
  • Light Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Commercial Refrigeration (service only)
  • Ground Source Heat Pump Loop Installer
  • Senior HVAC Efficiency Analyst

You can be assured that the technicians at Service Experts are highly qualified and professional and will do the job right from the start. Our company has the knowledge and skill set to not only fix your HVAC systems, but to take the utmost care of your equipment. Call to have one of our NATE-Certified experts inspect your HVAC system to ensure that it is prepared to secure your family’s comfort throughout the year.
